Kenapa Diesel Kini Lebih Mahal Daripada Petrol — Dan Kenapa Ini Isu Ekonomi, Bukan Sekadar Harga Minyak

1. Ini Bukan Fenomena Biasa

Dalam kebanyakan situasi, diesel selalunya lebih murah daripada petrol.

Tetapi apabila berlaku keadaan di mana diesel menjadi lebih mahal, itu bukan sekadar turun naik harga biasa.
Itu adalah signal tekanan dalam sistem ekonomi.

Dan ini yang sedang berlaku sekarang.

2. Ramai Salah Faham: Semua Minyak Naik Sama

Persepsi umum:

“Harga minyak naik sebab global… semua pun naik.”

Ini tidak tepat.

Realitinya:

  • Petrol → demand lebih stabil
  • Diesel → demand sangat sensitif kepada aktiviti ekonomi

Dan hari ini, diesel mengalami tekanan lebih kuat berbanding petrol.

3. Diesel Bukan Untuk Kereta — Diesel Adalah Ekonomi

Petrol digunakan oleh pengguna biasa.
Tetapi diesel digunakan oleh sistem ekonomi:

  • Lori penghantaran barang
  • Kapal kontena global
  • Jentera pembinaan
  • Kilang dan industri

Maksudnya…

Diesel = darah dalam sistem ekonomi

Bila diesel naik, ia bukan sekadar kos bahan api.
Ia adalah kenaikan kos keseluruhan rantaian bekalan (supply chain).

4. Kenapa Diesel Boleh Jadi Lebih Mahal?

Ada beberapa faktor utama yang berlaku serentak:

(1) Permintaan Global Tinggi

Selepas pemulihan ekonomi dan ketegangan geopolitik, permintaan diesel meningkat terutamanya dari:

  • Asia
  • Eropah
  • Industri berat

(2) Supply Refinery Terhad

Tidak semua refinery menghasilkan diesel dalam jumlah besar.

Apabila:

  • Maintenance berlaku
  • Supply terganggu
  • Atau conflict geopolitik

👉 Diesel akan jadi lebih scarce berbanding petrol

(3) Tekanan Dari Logistik & Perdagangan

Perang, sekatan ekonomi, dan gangguan shipping route (contoh: Hormuz, Red Sea) memberi kesan lebih besar kepada diesel kerana:

👉 Diesel adalah fuel utama untuk logistik global

(4) Struktur Pasaran (MOPS)

Di Asia, harga produk petroleum termasuk diesel dirujuk kepada MOPS (Mean of Platts Singapore).

Apabila harga diesel dalam MOPS spike:
➡️ Semua oil company di rantau ini akan ikut

Malaysia tidak terkecuali.

5. Kenapa Petrol Tidak Naik Seteruk Diesel?

Sebab struktur demand & supply berbeza:

  • Petrol → demand lebih predictable
  • Diesel → demand sangat bergantung kepada aktiviti ekonomi & industri

Tambahan pula:

  • Supply petrol lebih stabil
  • Refinery output petrol lebih konsisten

👉 Sebab itu petrol tidak spike seperti diesel

6. Kesan Sebenar Kepada Malaysia

Ini bahagian paling penting.

Apabila diesel naik:

(1) Harga Barang Naik

Kos penghantaran meningkat → harga retail meningkat

(2) Kos Makanan Naik

Malaysia import sebahagian besar makanan
➡️ semua guna logistik berasaskan diesel

(3) Kos Pembinaan Naik

Simen, besi, bahan binaan
➡️ semuanya bergantung kepada diesel

(4) Margin Operator Tertekan

Pengusaha:

  • Stesen minyak
  • Logistik
  • Kontraktor

➡️ semua menghadapi tekanan margin

7. Ini Realiti Yang Ramai Tak Nampak

Ramai melihat petrol kerana mereka isi minyak setiap hari.

Tetapi dalam ekonomi sebenar:

Yang menentukan harga barang bukan petrol — tetapi diesel.

8. Perspektif Strategik: Apa Maknanya Untuk Pelabur

Bagi pelabur dan pemain industri, ini membawa beberapa signal penting:

(1) Supply Chain Akan Lebih Mahal

Bisnes yang bergantung kepada logistik akan terjejas

(2) Margin Akan Semakin Tipis

Tanpa pricing power, keuntungan akan terhakis

(3) Asset-Based Business Lebih Tahan

Seperti:

  • Petrol station
  • Logistic hub
  • Industrial land

Yang boleh absorb atau pass-through cost

(4) Peluang Dalam Infrastruktur Tenaga

Dalam jangka panjang:

  • EV
  • Alternative fuel
  • Storage & distribution

akan jadi semakin penting

Penutup: Ini Bukan Isu Harga Minyak

Ini adalah isu struktur ekonomi.

Dan apabila diesel menjadi lebih mahal daripada petrol,
ia adalah tanda bahawa:

Sistem ekonomi sedang berada dalam tekanan sebenar.
