Kenaikan harga diesel sering dilihat sebagai isu kos jangka pendek.

Namun dalam realiti sistem ekonomi, kesannya jauh lebih mendalam—
ia bergerak secara berlapis dalam keseluruhan rantaian bekalan.


Malaysia adalah ekonomi terbuka.

Sebahagian keperluan asas negara masih bergantung kepada import seperti:

  • Beras (Thailand, India, Vietnam)
  • Gandum (Australia – asas tepung dan makanan proses)
  • Produk petroleum dan bahan kimia (Timur Tengah dan pasaran global)

Semua barangan ini melalui rantaian yang sama sebelum sampai kepada pengguna:

Pelabuhan → Logistik (lori) → Gudang → Pengedaran → Runcit


Di sepanjang rantaian ini, nilai barang tidak berubah.

Yang berubah adalah kos untuk menggerakkannya.


Apabila harga diesel meningkat, kesan pertama berlaku di peringkat logistik.

Dalam struktur kos sebenar:

  • Logistik menyumbang sekitar 10% – 15% daripada harga barang
  • Kos bahan api pula sekitar 30% – 40% daripada kos logistik

Ini bermaksud, sekitar 3% – 6% harga akhir barang berkait secara langsung dengan diesel.


Namun kesan sebenar tidak berlaku serta-merta.

Ia bergerak secara berperingkat:

  1. Kos logistik meningkat
  2. Pembekal menambah buffer harga
  3. SME menyerap kos sementara
  4. Tekanan terhadap aliran tunai meningkat
  5. Harga diselaraskan secara serentak di pasaran

Kebanyakan perniagaan kecil dan sederhana (SME) sering terlepas pandang fasa ini.

Mereka melihat jualan masih berjalan, tetapi tidak menyedari margin semakin mengecil.


Kesan sebenar biasanya hanya dirasai selepas 30 hingga 90 hari.


Perspektif Strategik

Dalam keadaan ini, pelabur dan pemain industri perlu melihat lebih jauh daripada kenaikan kos semata-mata.

Aset yang berada dalam aliran tenaga dan logistik akan menjadi semakin penting.


Stesen minyak bukan sekadar perniagaan runcit.

Ia merupakan:

  • Titik pergerakan logistik harian
  • Infrastruktur pengagihan tenaga
  • Aset yang berkait langsung dengan aliran ekonomi sebenar

Dalam fasa tekanan kos seperti ini, nilai tidak hilang.

Ia hanya bergerak.

Dan pihak yang memahami ke mana ia bergerak—
